I had a pleasant stay at Ponderosa RV Resort, enjoying the beautiful riverside views and clean facilities. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making my experience even better. However, the parking spots could be a bit tight, especially for larger rigs, and some areas are currently under construction, which made navigation a bit tricky. Overall, it's a nice place to relax for a while.
The facilities were clean and well-kept, but the parking spots felt a bit cramped for a larger RV.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and I received excellent assistance during check-in and throughout my stay.
Located right off Highway 49, it's conveniently nestled between Auburn and Placerville, perfect for exploring the area.
The bathrooms and common areas were tidy and inviting, though some construction was ongoing.

I had a great experience overall, enjoying the lovely clean sites and the beautiful American River right next to the resort. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my stay pleasant. However, I did face some issues with the availability of full hookup sites, which was a bit inconvenient. The improvements made to the property were noticeable, but the crowdedness of the sites could be a downside for some.
While I didn't specifically comment on the rooms, the cleanliness of the sites and facilities indicates a high standard.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout my stay.
The location near the American River is absolutely unique and breathtaking, with sounds of the water adding to the experience.
The amenities such as the dog park and swimming pool were well-maintained, and I enjoyed my walks along the river.

The resort features beautiful surroundings along the American River and well-maintained grounds. I found the security enhanced my comfort, but the presence of numerous long-term residents made it challenging to find suitable premium spots. Overall, it was a mixed experience due to the cramped sites and spotty Wi-Fi.
I found the sites nice but very cramped, especially the premium spots where you can barely place your awning. It would be beneficial if they provided more space and flexibility.
The check-in process was okay, though I felt the staff could have been more helpful in guiding us to available spots that were fit for newcomers.
The location is truly beautiful along the river, but it's 45 minutes to the nearest town, which can be inconvenient if you need supplies.
The pool area is very nice and well-maintained, and they do offer other amenities like a dog park and playground for kids. However, Wi-Fi was pretty much non-existent during my stay.

We had a mixed experience at this resort. The river nearby was a highlight, perfect for family fun, and the beach was enjoyable. However, the RV site was quite small and somewhat uncomfortable in the heat, and our visit was marred by some issues with other campers. It really felt like the resort was losing its charm, which was disappointing.
Our RV site was small and a bit cramped, but we appreciated the shade from the tree.
Contacting the office was a hassle as nobody answered our calls when we encountered issues.
The location by the river was fantastic and made our stay enjoyable, especially for the kids.
The bathroom and shower facilities were average; one was out of order during our stay.

Overall, my stay at this park was decent, but there were definitely some drawbacks. The RV sites were quite tight and not well-marked, which made parking a bit of a hassle. However, the facilities, including the clean bathroom and shower, were a highlight of my visit. The location is great for quick access to local shops and dining, but the additional fees for amenities like 50 amp power were a bit frustrating.
The RV sites were tight, making parking challenging, especially for larger rigs.
While the staff at the main office were friendly, the honey wagon service was not very helpful.
Conveniently located near local shops and a cafe with excellent pies.
The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean and well-maintained.
